TBRI Empowering Principles-Physiological Strategies Part 1
Classes are on Zoom, from 8:00 – 10:00 PM
Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles to meet attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. The TBRI® Caregiver Training equips participants with practical tools to support children by teaching the Principles and Strategies of TBRI® and how to apply them in daily interactions.
In Module 5, parents will discover how meeting a child’s physical and sensory needs creates the foundation for regulation, learning, and healthy relationships. Parents will explore how factors such as hydration, nutrition, blood sugar, sleep, and sensory processing directly influence behavior and emotional regulation, particularly for children impacted by trauma and toxic stress. This session provides practical TBRI® strategies for creating felt-safety, supporting co-regulation, and responding to challenging behaviors with curiosity rather than punishment. Parents will leave with a deeper understanding of the connection between the brain, body, and behavior and gain simple, effective tools to help children feel safe, regulated, and ready to thrive.
